A certain Swedish one

Not loads of gaming recently, so I decided to do a two-week post. And I forgot to take any photos 🙁

This week in development

I have had a lot of ideas though! Currently on the drawing board is:

  • a card-based game simulating an archaeological dig
  • a tile-laying game about getting trapped in a furniture shop
  • a party game of chaining together references to  other things.

They’re all in various stages of development, but still only concepts. Nothing close to prototyping yet.

This week in games

Just two Wednesday sessions to talk about.

The first started (after I was late to arrive because I was picking up my new laptop) with Spyfall 2.

I seemed to have a knack for getting the absurd roles. First I was a girl with champagne at a race track, then a canary in a coal mine, and finally a zombie in a cemetery. Sadly we didn’t hit on the all-spies deck I’d prepared.

Then some people had to go, so we broke out NMBR 9. I was a bit rusty as I hadn’t played in a while, but it’s still a great little puzzle.

For the second Wednesday, I broke out Paperback. I managed an 8-letter word at one point, but I had some awkward two-letter cards that held me back and I came second.

We finished off with some quick rounds of Geek Out! Family.

In other news, I had a money-off voucher that was about to expire, so I grabbed a (slightly dented) copy of Race for the Galaxy. I’ve really enjoyed Roll for the Galaxy, so hopefully this should be just as good.

This week in everything else

Outside of all that, I’ve mostly been ploughing my way through completing Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 (I’m at about 96% now).

And while I’ve been doing that, I’ve been binging on My Dad Wrote a Porno, which has made me laugh and cringe in equal measure.

Oh, and it was Eurovision on the weekend. Austria were robbed!
